Water Rights

    1. This article mainly talks about the mishandling of water in California. Over the years scientists have misread how big our population will grow and in doing so have overestimated how much water we have. We as humans don’t realize how much water we use, so when we get into droughts like this is creates an even bigger effect not just on us but on the environment around us.
    2. This article is related to environmental science because it is a part of the water issues that we are facing today. We also need to learn ways to prevent these issues from happening again. These trends that we see are important to notice because we want to have future generations be able to help change these issues as well.

  1. I agree with the mishandling of water over the years. Most people water their lawns excessively when there is no need to. Then, other people leave the water running before getting in the shower. They don’t realize the great amount of water that is been wasted. The water been wasted can be supplied some where else were it is really needed. Do you think there should be more restriction in the use of water?

  2. This is defiantly a major problem we are facing here in California during this drought. Did the author say about how much water we have left, and if our population does continually increase, is there any way to prevent California from going completely dry?

  3. What is being done to help with this water problem? I wonder how we are going to counter to this increase in population. Will California have to be abandon?
