In the article how are scientist tackling difficult water contaminants

two potentially successful opportunities for water contamination are found including Cold plasma technology, and nanotechnology. To begin with researcher sales and his team at Drexel University made a machine that could create a rotating electromagnetic field excited present electrons, well breaking down the chemical species in the water, it admits an ultraviolet radiation. The combination of the energy and radiation reaches a state where it can Break the strong fluorocarbons apart. The second method of decontamination Falls under the subject of data technology treatment. A study done at the University of Québec produced a contraption using to light sensitive electrodes, creating a free radicals on its surface. Which are then able to interact with Atrazine molecules (a dangerous substance) and degrade them.

By studying contaminated water sources, and figuring out new ways to make them reusable we are able to extend the Human knowledge of this field in environmental science. To further explain this statement, what is still deeper into the substance that provides life for almost all organisms on this planet. As we develop more ways to make unusable water into a product that allows our planet to continue on it’s course of sustaining life. By doing this we learn how certain artificial chemicals interact with our ecosystems whether it be negative or positive, allowing us to gain more knowledge of human impacts on the environment.

  1. I agree with you, I think it’s extremely beneficial for people to be educated on ways in which they can convert contaminated water into usable water through sustainable methods. I think a big problem right now is that many pressing environmental issues are flying under the radar and not getting enough attention from the public. The knowledge of environmental issues is so important because when people aren’t aware of them they don’t know how to reduce them.
