The European union started approving new fishery control rules, these rules come mostly from the European Union’s fisheries. These new rules hope to modify, simplify, and modernize the fishing process by involved much more technology used to track the amount/types of fish caught. These new rules started in 2024 and only small vessel boats will have exceptions to these rules until 2023 where no one can be exempt fromm following these rules. 

 

This relates to environmental science because it has to do with the technology that we can bring into our environment, specifically Fisheries that will make it more sustainable and will help with the tragedy of the comments relating to a lot of fish around the world. this also shows that it’s not just the US that’s I’m worried about fishing and Fisheries it’s all over the world, and the European Union is making significant changes that will affect the Fisheries in the future.
