As a liberal state California opposes many of Trump’s policies and his environmental policies are no exception. Each bill pass or proposed is one trying to block Trump’s bills or permits that can cause issues with our ecosystem. Although this article was written i the summer many of these bills are still being debated and passed currently.
This article related to environmental science because, issues regarding endangered species, air quality, water quality, plastic waste, and offshore drilling are very impactful to environment,and are some of the most worst environmental issues at the moment. The Trump administration is taking a more business-like to these issues. Meaning, he is making them worse or ignoring them for profit, which ironically in the long term reduces profit. All of these bill passed or being debated could potentially reduce pollution in our oceans, air, or ground proving that this is very important in regards to environmental science.
It’s sad to hear that Trump is taking a more business approach to these bills and not actually doing what’s best for the Earth. Also the fact that his secretary of interior is not doing their job and trying to give a more environmental perspective to Trumps decision. Their just nodding along and agreeing with Trump even if they know his decisions will hurt the environment.
