The threat Trump is posing is truly Terrible, giving fossil fuel companies exactly what they want is counter productive and is leading to environmental degradation.This also could harm public health, as well as air quality.

This relates to environmental science because, the United States is the second largest producer of C02 and is notorious for destroying the planet. This could inspire other large countries or those with large c02 footprints to lessen regulation.With less regulations, this mean that the impact of climate change could potentially be much greater.

In the next few years farmers,automobile companies, and other large contributors to poor air quality will be subjected to restrictions and pushed towards biomass products. With better air public health threats such as cancer, lung problems, obesity, and heart disease will reduce as well.Unfortunately, costs are higher than anticipated leading to programs to try to reduce cost.

This relates to environmental science because, emissions of ammonia, C02,and other such pollutants are regarded as matters of great concern in the science community. Time and time again scientist have illustrated the dangers that chemicals do the soil/air, and what excess C02 and pollution do to human health. This is a great step forward, despite the cost.

Although many countries often aid poor or developing countries, a carbon tax which is proposed to reduce climate change could harm those countries. This could perhaps could lead to the reconsiderment of a carbon tax.

This related to environmental science because, many policy makers and scientists are in favor of the carbon tax, yet it could negatively affect countries that are already in despair.Many people are pushing a carbon tax as a resort to aid in enviromental recovery, but many protest to this action for fincial reasons, that could jeopardize economic systems in many countries.Another note,this tax has the potenal to affect fossil fuel run countries,such America and the the United Kingdom sparking a debate in many countries and climate change experts over what is the correct approach.

According to studies at Carnegie Melon University, our regulations maybe have helped wildlife, however, preventing the production of hydroelectric projects led to more greenhouse gas emissions. This lead researchers to believe that hydropower is perhaps causing as much or even more greenhouse emissions than fossil fuel.

This article relates to enviromental science because many scientists are frantically pushing for the use of alternative energy such as the hydrogen fuel cell. A hydrogen fuel cell is increadible exprensive, but is believed to reduce carbon footprint and make energy more eco-friendly.However, recent studies have suggested that a hydrogen fuel cell may actually lead to more greenhouse emission, making many scientist question its benefits.Thus leading to more research over which is the most effective renewable energy, which doesn’t seem to be hydrogen. However, it proves that more research and experiments need to be done to find the best alternative energy.

In the last couple of months, countries worldwide are meeting to discuss measures taken to reduce the impacts of climate change. Despite the efforts of Elliot Diringer and Antonio Guterres, the United States president Trump still allows his countries to put out dangerous levels of C02. Luckily the green deal is gaining popularity worldwide and weakens not only North America’s effort to prevent regulations on greenhouse gases but other countries as well.

This article relates to enviromental science because we are currently seeing the impacts of climate change. Scientists have proven to the public the negatives effects of excess greenhouse gases such as ocean acidification, sea level rise, climate refugees, arctic glaciers melting; the list could go on for a mile.Excess C02 has already caused so many issues related to climate change, increasing the C02 even more could be detrimental to our enviroment.If corporations continue buring fossil fuels without regulations we are headed down a dark path, that will affect our Earth and future children.Luckily,the green deal and call for a climate summit to prevent this monster, harsh regulations are being taken, and countries are no longer waiting to see the negative impacts before taking action.

  1. Rome, V. (2018,June 21). Top California Environmental Bills to Watch This Summer;this article gives a run down of each of the bill proposed by California in an effort to block Trump’s environmental destruction. Also, Rome emphasizes what aspect of the environment is being aided by each bill. Retrieved November 18,from

https://www.nrdc.org/experts/victoria-rome/top-california-environmental-bills-watch-summer

As a liberal state California opposes many of Trump’s policies and his environmental policies are no exception. Each bill pass or proposed is one trying to block Trump’s bills or permits that can cause issues with our ecosystem. Although this article was written i the summer many of these bills are still being debated and passed currently.

This article related to environmental science because, issues regarding endangered species, air quality, water quality, plastic waste, and offshore drilling are very impactful to environment,and are some of the most worst environmental issues at the moment. The Trump administration is taking a more business-like to these issues. Meaning, he is making them worse or ignoring them for profit, which ironically in the long term reduces profit. All of these bill passed or being debated could potentially reduce pollution in our oceans, air, or ground proving that this is very important in regards to environmental science.

  1. Mill, M. (2018,November 13). 2018 IGP Amendments – Everything You Need to Know;

California is debating the general permit, which allows the maximum amount of pollutant. The article discusses the facts we should know when taking into consideration this weighty debate. Retrieved November 18, from

Many California residents are very environmentally conscious and wish to preserve their environment. This proposed bill potentially could have no effect on the environment,however, it does not help improve our water quality. Limiting amount of restrictions on water sanitization policies as well as how much pollant should be allowed in our water can come under fires especially in this political climate.

This article relates this environmental science because, water is a huge part of the environment. Humans need water to survive and it probably our most valued resource. With government officials imposing bills and permits in attempts to pollute our water for their short term profit, could potentially jeopardize the health of the ecosystem. Therefore, environmentalist urge us to take these bills and permits into greater consideration of the effect that they cause on the world around us, especially if we wish to maintain clean water.

  1. John, J. (2018, September 5).California Legislative Roundup: What Passed, and What Didn’t;

This article talks about the numerous bills being voted on in California. John describes how each bill could affect us and in what ways it is controversial or harmful to the enviroment.Retrieved November,18 from https://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/california-legislative-roundup-what-passed-and-what-didnt#gs.Wf7EKAA

This article mentioned many of the very important bills being voted on that could determine the future of California. It talked about bills on clean driving,transportation,oil, climate change,decarbonization,renewable energy as well as what the potential effects of the bill could be.Although most of the bills have not been passed, this article illustrated the positive outcomes.

     This article related to environmental science because all these bills being proposed have a direct impact on the environment. For instance transportation, renewable energy, and the general use of fossil fuels is a great concern for environmentalist.

part 2 (2)

  1. Rogers, T. (2018,August 28).California passes bill to block Trump’s offshore oil drilling plans;California blocks Trump’s plan for offshore drilling. Lawmakers have blocked Trump’s plan to block construction of new pipelines that would go off into the ocean. California is taking step trying to go against Trump’s proposed plans that hurt the environment. Retrieved on November 17,2018 from https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/08/28/california-passes-bill-to-block-trumps-offshore-oil-drilling-plans/

Many Californias from Humboldt to Santa Cruz oppose drilling and construction of new pipelines. Drilling could potentially cause oil damaging California’s ecosystem and the profit from coastal tourism. Despite, the fact that the bill is often more rejected than embraced, some still agree with the bill. For instance, Catherine Reheis-Boyd, president of the Western States Petroleum Association, a leading industry trade group argues that bans are not the answer. Catherine and people who support her are arguing that Californian’s will still use oil so there is no point in making a ban. Even more upsetting, the chance that Trump may go forth with the new pipelines shortly after his midterm election. If not that then he will continue to call for drilling in 2020 or 2021.

          This article relates to environmental science because California being the third in the states that produce the most oil has a huge impact on the environment. Oil and other fossil fuels are a on of the most heated topics right now in regard to the environment. We are all aware that burning fossil fuels is terrible for the environment and should be limited to the best of our ability. However, Trump’s new bill proposed the production of even more oil destroying our ecosystem further. Hopefully this bill will never pass, because if it does the fossil fuel usage will damage our planet further.

part 2 (1)

  1. Luna,T.(2018,August 28). The California legislature has sent a bill to governor Jerry Brown  proposed that all retail electricity be generated by reusable electricity; it’s approval has been deemed a huge step forward in addressing climate change.Retrieved November 12, 2018 from

https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article217397360.html

In the next two and a half decades we can expect an increase in climate change regulations in California. Jerry Brown along with the California legislators have approved this bill 43-32. California is a symbolic strike against the Trump administration, which has been careless about the fragile ecosystem, endangered species, carbon admission, and protecting the general aesthetic value of nature to name a few. Despite the bill’s positive impacts on the environment, many still oppose it. Opposers of this bill argue that it will not be useful enough in making an impact in reducing greenhouse gases and overuse of fossil fuels. However, due to California’s massive populations, and thus large environmental impacts will make a significant impact for that reason has been passed

This article relates to environmental science because California is a massive state and has been very active and is known for being active in politics regarding the environment. With a substantial decrease of fossil fuel use through retail electricity, this could potentially reduce fossil fuel use, carbon emission, and could motivate other states to follow in California’s footsteps. Our use of electricity is a depletion of fossil fuels, and by trying reusable electricity, we could conserve fossil fuels and produce fewer carbon emissions making California’s resources more sustainable and accessible in the future.
