U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue discusses possible impact of coronavirus on ports

With the Corona Virus becoming a worldwide problem, it is starting to affect the ports in which goods are being exported to and from. With ports being shut down, due to the coronavirus worldwide farmers are unable to export their goods. Which would mean about 40% of ports would be closed.

This is very concerning, as with the coronavirus farmers are not able to make a living since they can’t export food and goods. How can farmers make money if they aren’t able to send their produce. As this is terrible economically, it’s good for everyone’s health. Since they won’t be able to make money will the government give them some form of compensation?
