A Big-Picture Look at Montreal’s Sustainable Agriculture.

Sustainable agriculture is something very important because it allows us to help many things in an economic way, environmental way, and the social aspects of farming in order to create a higher sustainable farming system.  With more and more restrictions on farming and farm advisors it can improve the land and industrial as a whole.For example, Quebec is finding ways to reduce water use and stop soil erosion. The thing with that is that it is not just an organization, the government and many associations are helping a lot as well. Using mixed methods on farm management would create sustainability on the topic of  public land use. 

This article correlates with the environment because it talks about sustaining agriculture by creating new farming practices. If we were to have sustainable agriculture it would hit really hard on the topic of public land use and how people treat it. Farming practices right now is hurting us right now, so really hitting this topic and finding new practices would not only help the environment but also help in an economic way.

Federal Plans Put Public Lands Across the West at Risk

The Bureau of Management oversees a lot of acres of public lands across the nation, mainly across the West. It provides clean water, fish, and habitat for the people throughout the year. Despite the BLM protecting the land, in the end it doesn’t protect the environment’s habitat. In order for a big improvement, more acres would need to be continued to produce more of the energy that is needed.

This implies that people in the society are trying to ways to help impact the way public land use is in control as well. BLM has turned these lands into oil and gas developments. That is exactly what we don’t want to do, because it will affect the wildlife and just be bad for the environment as a whole. In the end, we will be losing many acres due to these new plans.

The forest management has continued to increase due to global climate change and certain policies. With the forest management it can become implemented to the forest biodiversity. Logging would be a way to begin to degrade the forests and environment. It also brings into the category of conservation when the public use the land while damaging our natural resources. In order to protect forest and species habitat we would need to make sure that logging would be ensured.If we continue to ruin the land it would also make it horrible for the animals as well. 

In environmental science conservation is a big factor when it comes to helping out the ecosystem. When people tend to use the environment for their own it overall begins erasing other resources and habitats. I believe this article helps bring up the conservation of preservation  because using the public land can impact the climate and environment.When topics like logging are shown more in articles, it can help get notice on society on why we need to rely on the species and forest habitat since those are our main sources of surviving.

Letter: Pay Farmers to Rescue Civilization

This article mainly talks about how what we do to our land can ultimately affect the outcome of our climate. Mainly what we do to our soils can drastically change everything about the environment. At the moment, it is mentioned how ¾ of soil organic matter is gone. The impacts of this will only worsen and our food chains will become unstable if we do nothing to help. Within farming we make the soil less fertile which brings up problems to our environment. Using the environment and labor to maintain soils can be important for survival. 

This is related to environmental science because it teaches us what really matters for us and our environment. Although many people don’t believe in the soils impacting our climate and ourselves, it needs to be portrayed that it is true. Due to farming it can degrade the lands that we need in order to survive. I believe that this article is important because it tends to go over people’s heads when farming is talked about. They believe that our nutrients are the only important factor although how we get our nutrients play a role as well. I believe that losing soil will ultimately lead to more problems in the near future when it comes to public land use.

Conservationists Sound Alarm over Trump Pick to Head Public Lands Bureau

This article talks about public land use and how President Trump has power to help but doesn’t believe in public land use.The components of public health and safety, clean water, open space, and a chemical-free food chain can use really big help right now. It talks about endangered species and how we are destroying their habitats. Fischler believes that public land use is being destructive because of the big people( Trump).In the West, where the bureau’s land includes prime habitat for wildlife, an open range for hunters, and etc,  public land use is a priority. 

The article is related to environmental science because it shows public land use. From this article you can tell that he, Trump, doesn’t believe in any of this and decides to not help, but hurt it: “President Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Bureau of Land Management has supported mining near the Grand Canyon, livestock grazing in federally protected areas, resource extraction at national monuments and generally opposed federal management of Western lands — all positions conservationists in Arizona say would hurt the state’s public lands”( Fischler). In my opinion I feel like public land use should be portrayed more to the outside world because it can go really bad or we can sustain it based on how humans decide to take care of it. With many people not caring and Trump, we can bring ruin to the public and destroy the environment, including the animals and their homes.
