Sleek LED lighting that are used in homes are much more energy efficient and conservative than regular incandescent and CFL bulbs. An average incandescent or CFL bulb gives off about 800 lumens of light with 60 watts of power. An LED however provides the same amount but only uses about 10 watts.

Although the LED has not just been recently created, just this year it has become a fast and easy eco-friendly way to help save electricity and the environment. This has become a popular trend for People in the U.S. choosing to do so. Today, LED lights are being used in a new hip and modern way which make it easier to choose the eco friendly way. Choosing LED lights drastically make an improvement in the U.S. if a large amount of people use them.

  1. I concur with Brynn. Huge energy savings with the LED, but are they still crazy expensive. What do you think it will take to get these energy savers more widespread? Should there be some kind of subsidy or tax break given to encourage people to use them?
