The Smart Fridge is the Somewhat normal size to a normal  refrigerator. This fridge creates a large touch screen on the right hand side of the two doors. This device also has a camera that shows inside displaying all the food, The camera records the images and it can be displayed therefore there is no need to open and check. It also connect to an app that is accessible to while not in the house.  A Barcode Scans the specific item of food you choose and it will directly send you the expiration date from your phone.

Food Waste is a big problem and is commonly not dealt with properly. When food is not put in the compost, it will not be able to decompose and turn into the soil for the Earth. This problem of not putting food waste into the correct place can be completely avoided with the Smart Fridge’s innovative way of putting a camera inside. With this great device it reduces the fact of having to drive back and forth to the store therefore creating less gas emissions on the Earth.

Eco certified wine

Hewitt, A. (2016, November 02). Do eco-friendly wines taste better? Retrieved March 12, 2017, from http://newsroom.ucla.edu/releases/do-eco-friendly-wines-taste-better

A UCLA study has been shown that eco certified wine tastes better to wine experts. Along with eco-friendly wine tasting better, it’s much more affordable compared to regular wine. Researchers say, “organic and biodynamic farming has these small but significant positive effects on wine quality”. In order for the wine to be eco-friendly, the grapes were from organic and biodynamic farms. Drinking eco-friendly wine is a much eco friendlier and affordable option than normal red and white wine.

Regular wine being produced that comes from a normal farm is not clear of water wasting and the waste they create. This is very detrimental for the earth and can cause serious issues. Eco-certified wine, has the opposite effect. Wine grown in an organic environment as well as a biodynamic farm, the people creating the wine are fully aware of their ecological impact. As well, as the wine tasting better, if more people switch over to eco-certified wine, then the ecological impact grape farms have on the Earth will decrease.

Composting Toilet System

During the 2016 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which was held Los Angeles California, an environmentally friendly technology was created and established. The Composting Toilet System is able to turn human waste into compost. The main feature is a biochamber that is able to use wood chips, which are small pieces of wood, with the circulation of air to create the compost. The Composting Toilet System is simple and has no odor when in process. The compost needs to be changed every 18 months.

Toilets can be a huge water waster and can cause droughts and gallons of water to be wasted. At this point in time, human waste can be mixed with toxic waste and into stormwater streams. This then causes more systems and money to treat this toxic waste. In the long run it is very expensive and not worth it. The Composting Toilet System reduces the cost of separating waste and toxins and turns the waste into something reusable. When directly turing  human waste into compost, it eliminates the waste stream and the toxins polluting the Earth and the Ocean.

The LunchSkin, is a better and more sustainable food storage. Compared to a paper bag lunch, a LunchSkin is reused and is able to save the littering from the paper and plastic that is wasted in school lunches. The head of LunchSkin claims, “Simply put, one bag can make a difference”. The Lunch skin is a food safe reusable bag that does not need to be thrown away after one use. The LunchSkin is environmentally friendly due to is reusable value.

Paper and Plastic lunches are a serious negative for the planet. Although it may be a small bag, eventually they add up and pollute the earth along with other serious effects. About 20 million plastic bags are thrown away everyday just in public schools. The LunchSkin can help stop this problem by having a lunch that is reusable. A study in the article was shown that one LunchSkin is able to replace 500 plastic bags in one lifetime. This will help benefit the earth with less pollution due to less paper and plastic lunches.

Bioplastic

Blog. (2016, October 31). Retrieved March 12, 2017, from https://whittakerassociates.com/eco-friendly-plastics/

Bioplastic is made from basic and natural materials such as cornstarch and other similar products. This new type of plastic is different to biodegradable plastics due to the fact that it does not create an increase on Carbon Dioxide. This occurs when the as dissolves, decomposes, or breaks down. Many companies have started to produce this new type of plastic. Polylactide, which is an acid inside the bag, is able to save two thirds the energy compared to making normal plastics that are often found at grocery stores.

Normal plastic on this earth causes serious problems. Plastic bags can get into the ocean and damage living animals in the ocean. This is caused by plastic ripping into small pieces and floating to waterways. This causes species to die at at abnormal rate. The similar idea happens on land as well. With Bioplastic, it is edible and decomposable. This causes no animals to die at an alarming rate. As well as wildlife being a benefit, the Polylactide acid in the nag produces about 70 percent less greenhouse gases when broke down in a landfill for example. Compared to regular plastic bags, Bioplastic is compostable and decomposable at a very fast rate. With faster ways to decompose, plastic will not clog up landfills and will a problem humans don’t need to deal with any longer.

Water powered clock

(2016.). Renewable & Non-Renewable Energy Sources – Conserve Energy Future. 25 Green Eco-Friendly Products – Conserve Energy Future. Retrieved from http://www.conserve-energy-future.com/25-green-eco-friendly-products.php

A water powered clock keeps an accurate time without the use of batteries or electricity. The water powered clock is able to generate its own energy to run the clock. The electrode inside the clock converts  ions in the clock into a current strong enough to create power for the clock for three or more months. The memory chip helps to make sure that the time never needs to be reset.

The water powered clock helps conserve electricity that is used everyday to power a clock. This new technology allows water to be the energy. With more water powered clocks, there could be a great difference in conserving technology and making a smaller impact on the earth.
